About Me

As this is my first foray into the world of blogging, I've opted to make my first entry an overview of my background and agenda for this site. I am currently a Senior Consultant at BearingPoint in the great Pacific Northwest. More specifically,I am engaged in a Product Management project at Microsoft. Prior to this engagement, I was mired in an organizational risk management project at Boeing. From 2002 until 2006, I was an Artillery and Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army. That period of my life will always be among the highlights of my career. My closest friends in the world are from that window of time.

I am a sports fanatic with a pretty robust knowledge of useless trivia from all of the major competitive leagues. I'm also a political junkie that maintains subscriptions to Foreign Policy, The Economist, U.S. News and World Report and Newsweek. More often than not, I'm flipping between sports and C-Span when I'm camped out in front of the TV.

In 2006, my best friend and I left the Army, took 'normal' jobs, began grad school and started a construction managment company called Luxtom Homes, LLC. This blog will chronicle our ongoing struggle to build a business while negotiating a tumultuous economy.

Hello Steve,

Good luck to your construction management company. I visited your site “Luxtom Homes” and I think the business venture in today’s economy is good. I used to work in a small company in Glendale California before joining Parsons (www.parsons.com) and there are many good opportunities on small business industry today.

I like your blog site design. The color coordination is good. This is probably a good opportunity to explore and add more gadgets in you side bar specially the advertisement for your company. I would probably create a clickable logo of your company and place it on the side bar.

Thank you.
